Ubicación: 78th Street Heritage Farm, 1919 NE 78th Street, Vancouver, WA.
Come get your hands in the soil and help us plant garlic for next season!
Join Latinos Unidos y Floreciendo (LUYF) for a community garlic planting day at the Heritage Farm! We'll be working together to plant garlic that will grow throughout the winter and be ready for harvest next summer.
This is a great opportunity to spend time outdoors, connect with your community, and learn a little about growing garlic along the way. Whether you're an experienced gardener or have never planted a thing, everyone is welcome!
Volunteers will help prepare planting areas, separate garlic bulbs into cloves, and plant garlic for the coming growing season. We'll provide guidance and instructions, so no previous farming experience is needed.
What to bring: Dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes or boots that can get muddy, and bring a water bottle. Gardening gloves are recommended.
Location: 78th Street Heritage Farm, 1919 NE 78th Street, Vancouver, WA.
Every clove planted is a step toward another season of growing fresh, locally produced food for our community.
Come plant with us and help get next year's harvest started!
Requirements
Please dress for the weather, as rain is possible! Be sure to wear comfortable clothing and shoes or boots that you don't mind getting muddy.
We'll meet in front of the main building at the 78th Street Heritage Farm and walk to the planting area together. Parking will be available on the grass.
