VOLUNTEER
Volunteers help us create meaningful connections between people, culture, food, and the land. Whether you have a few hours to give or want to become more involved, there are many ways to support our work and strengthen our community.
As we grow as an organization we want to let volunteers know that they contribute to the additional success of who we are when it comes to providing culturally specific fresh produce to latino families in clark county.

Farm Volunteers
From the first start or seed in the ground to the final harvest. LUYF thrives because of the volunteers who make it happen.
-
At 78th Heritage Farms we pride ourselves in cultivating the seed as well as the land. In the early spring months volunteers come together to be able to grow, plant and also participate in the blessing of the land which happens every May.
-
We believe that food is medicine and the time of Harvesting is the most important part of the season. As a volunteer helping us out to harvest for the families that come out creates access to fresh produce.
-
As a Farm that believes in the ancestral ways of maintaining our fields, we have a lot of weeds!! The reason for this is because we use no Pesticides!!
-
We welcome all! Our 11 acre plot is big enough for the entire family or if you want to have it all to yourself that too!
Our Volunteer Opportunities take place Mondays, Wednesday, Fridays from 10 am to 1 pm, March through November.
For big groups, please contact us ahead of time so we can coordinate for your visit
-
If your school, business or organization would like to bring a bring group to volunteer on the farm, we’d love to have you join us. We welcome larger groups throughout the growing season and can work with you to find a time that fits.
Please contact us to arrange a group volunteering event.
